Andrew's interest in classical guitar began in 2001 after taking a year of introductory classes at San Diego's Mesa College. He then joined the Mesa College Classical Guitar Ensemble, an experience that broadened his musical horizons, provided performance opportunities, strengthened his reading, playing, and listening skills, and fostered friendships with fellow guitarists. Andrew grew up in Seattle, works in software, lives in Pacific Beach with his partner Xing, and enjoys travel, hiking, biking, lutherie, reading, software, DIY projects, and of course, music.
